Yes, the option for changing mastery has finally been added to the Last Epoch. For the last four years, Last Epoch didn’t allow changing Mastery, although players could respec skills and passive points freely. With the season 2 update, Last Epoch has finally decided to let players change Mastery freely in the game. Now, let’s see how it can be done in the game.
How to Change Mastery in Last Epoch
To change Mastery in Last Epoch, players must reach the End of Time first by going through the campaign. For new characters, this should be around level 20 and can take around a couple of hours to achieve. You will also need to reach the End of Time by going through the campaign to unlock the Mastery in Last Epoch. Once you have reached the End of Time area, here is how to change Mastery in Last Epoch:
- Look for the Brain icon on the map in End of Time, which indicates the Respec NPC in End of Time and head to her.
- Speak with the Chronomancer Lerinne NPC and choose the Respecialize Mastery option.
- Choose the new Mastery you want to use.
Now, you can start spending your Passive points on the new Mastery tree. One thing to note is that you will lose all your skills from the previous mastery, including skills that you added to the specializations tree.
How to Respec Mastery Points in Last Epoch

- Speak with the Chronomancer Lerinne NPC again in End of Time.
- Click on the Passive node you want to remove a point from and spend the required Gold to respec the point.
- To respec all points, simply select the Respec All option from the top right and pay the required gold to complete it.
One thing to note here is that you cannot respec allocated Mastery Points from a node if they are part of a dependency to another Mastery or Node. For example, if you have invested 20 points in your Primary Mastery tree, while investing the rest on your Chosen Mastery tree, then you cannot respec points from the Primary Mastery tree first. This is because you need to have 20 points in the primary tree before you can invest in the chosen Mastery tree, which creates a dependency.
